POPiNTV is an AI-driven platform for young filmmakers, commissioned by Lunds kommun and built for its Kulturskolan. The work there is outreach, and many of the participants are met only once, so pre-production has to fit inside a single session. Interviews with young filmmakers and educators made the pattern clear: they had ideas, they lacked structure. Pre-production is where most of them stall, in the gap between having an idea and having something you can actually shoot.
Rikard Jarl and I delivered a working MVP in eight weeks. I did the design and worked on training the custom LoRA that keeps generated frames visually consistent instead of looking like stock AI output; Rikard handled implementation and build in Bubble. The tool covers script feedback, storyboard generation, scene composition and a character chat, and it leads rather than waits.

How it works
- Never a blank pageAI reads the draft and responds, so the first version is never the hard part.
- Storyboards on demandWritten scenes become frames the group can react to, in a set of preset styles.
- Talk to your charactersWriters interrogate their own characters instead of guessing at them.
- A custom modelA LoRA keeps every generated frame on-brand for the channel.
Delivered in eight weeks and adopted by Lunds kommun for its youth programmes.
Designing for a non-technical audience means the tool has to lead, not wait.
